Jaq Jaq Bird by Sam and Bellie is an upscale children's products company that was founded by Grace Paik, busy mom of three, in 2004.

We specialize in providing beautiful but practical solutions to the precious but at times, mundane, tasks that parenthood requires such as feeding, burping, and occupying babies and young children.

The ChalkMat was Grace's brain child during a six-month stint of eating at restaurants while her kitchen's renovation dragged behind schedule.

There was nothing for her two young children to do while they patiently and not so patiently waited for their meals. A very pregnant Grace designed a prototype and beta tested her idea with her own children in real time. Soon, other moms wanted these chalk mats for their own kids, and Grace knew she was on to something. Shortly after, Sam and Bellie was born, along with her third child.

In 2008, the year that Grace's military husband was deployed to Iraq, Sam and Bellie launched a more affordable, and yet, a more environmentally friendly line called Jaq Jaq Bird. These products are a non-PVC version of the Sam and Bellie line and includes new products such as art aprons and larger splat mats in smart, unique patterns.

Grace wanted to make her products more accessible to more moms and dads, and feels responsible to provide, safe, and eco-friendly products.
